We are here to gather up enough people to stop MTV from remaking the all time classic: The Rocky Horror Picture Show!

The only problem is, I have no idea how many people we need to do that o.0

These are our reason as to why it should be stopped!!!!!!
~No one else can play Dr. Frank-N-Furter, that is totally a Tim Curry part! it's not cool!
~Meatloaf won't be playing Eddie again, which will totally ruin the dinner sence! Not to mention the Audience Participation!
~Susan Sarandon is too old to play Janet again, and who else could sing touch me like that?!
~And can you even imagnie someone other than Barry Bostwick singing Damnit Janet??
~They need to leave the classics as just that, classics. Nothing is better then the original!!!
~ Who but the original Riffraff Can say "Hello?" In that way that generations will always remember?
~Only lil' Nell can scream like that for Eddie!

Here is so more info on the remake, they're trying to make it sound better :/
MTV is doing the time warp on a remake of 1975 cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
Lou Adler, exec producer of the original film, is partnering with BermanBraun and Fox Television Studios on the new rendition.

Two-hour remake will use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien but may also include music not featured in the original.

Helmer and casting decisions have yet to be announced.

Fox is sin discussions with BSkyB and Sky Movies to co-finance and distribute the telepic abroad.

Timetable for the start of production hasn't been established yet but the partners aim to move forward quickly once the final elements are in place.

"I'd like to see it shown a year from this coming Halloween, but that's up to MTV," Adler said.

BermanBraun principal Gail Berman will exec produce the project along with partner Lloyd Braun. Berman has been attached to a "Rocky Horror" remake dating back to her tenure as Fox programming chief (Daily Variety, July 1, 2002).

The original "Rocky Horror," starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meatloaf, has grossed $140 million in domestic box office over the years, primarily from the wallets of youthful audience members who have shown up for midnight screenings over the past three decades.

2008-11-05 [Tragedy In Trend]: The point they're trying to make is more of the, "the original was great, there doesn't need to be a remake so that they can ruin the image it gave from the beginning" persuasion. If you disagree, don't bother because that's their opinion and they're working as great on it as they can.

I *agree* with the fact that there doesn't need to be a remake. The original is a classic. point blank, and I don't see any reason to remake any -classic-. but that still doesn't change the fact that just because there is a remake doesn't mean it's going to ruin it's image or take anything away from the original -- tht is all I was saying, and jeesus christ excuse the fucking hell out of me for trying to have a conversation, I didn't know it was against any rules to strike up a discussion
